As you know, the world is still going through an unprecedented period, with the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic thrusting everyone into an era of the New Normal. Due to the on-going pandemic, HUG 2022 will be held as hybrid format, on-site meeting for Koreans and virtual meeting for foreigners.

While it may look a little different, the HUG 2022 Hybrid meeting’s exceptional scientific programming and networking opportunities will continue to provide inspiration and insight to advance this dynamic field of research.

As it always has been, this meeting is a major academic gathering for Helicobacter and upper gastrointestinal disease research. The agenda of the HUG 2022 encompasses broader range of issues from Helicobacter to peptic ulcer and microbiome. World leading scholars are invited to present state-of-the-art lectures and to share their perspectives in this field. In addition, extinguished Asian scholars will also participate to make this meeting outstanding and remarkable. Two-day program contains discussions regarding current use of acid suppressant in Asia. Especially, advances in artificial intelligence, debating issues of acid suppressant and recent microbiome studies in upper GI tract are the core topics of this meeting. Besides, updates of peptic ulcer diseases and discussion on regional pending issues in Helicobacter treatment are expected to be very useful to the audience.

We hope to have the opportunity to meet you in person of online during the conference as we return to sharing great learning experiences together.

Sincerely yours,
